Actuate acquired by OpenText

On December 9th, 2014 in a press release, OpenText, solutions publisher of document management, has announced the purchase of Actuate, a software company specialized in the areas of reporting, data analysis and customer communication.

 

 

With this new purchase, OpenText confirms its strategic ambition to join the business intelligence market, which is currently expanding.

In the coming months, OpenText will specify its new development strategy around the open source BIRT platform.
